Oak Knoll Family Campground Policy
Attention:
Read these rules. Your signature is required at the bottom of this page.
We
would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Oak Knoll Family
Campground. The following policies are to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay
with us. It is your obligation to read and observe these policies. If at any
time you have any problems or questions, Please do not hesitate to contact the
office. We want to help make your stay with us safe and relaxing.
NO
FIREWOOD
is allowed to be brought into the park,
due to the threat of evasive species that threaten all our forested areas. PLEASE LEAVE
YOUR CAMPFIRE WOOD AT HOME. Help protect all of Michigan's Natural areas.
Any campfire wood that is brought in WILL BE CONFISCATED and Campground
Management will attend to its disposal.
We love our forest and would like
to keep it healthy and alive for all of our campers to enjoy.
NO BUILDING MATERIAL OR SCRAP LUMBER
allowed to be brought into the park. Any person found burning such will be
evicted without refund. The Cutting, Removal, or Defacing of any Trees or
Branches, Live or Dead on Park or Private Property is Prohibited. All
violators will be fined and/or prosecuted. There is a $100.00 fine per tree, per
violation. All woods surrounding designated campground sites are private
property, and should be treated as such. Misuse of any campground or surrounding
private property will not be tolerated. Firewood and hotdog sticks may be
purchased at the campground store.
Camping is permitted on designated
site areas only. Not more than 4 adults will be permitted on any individual site. All campers are to keep their
site clean of bottles, cans, papers, garbage, etc. Do
not use fire pits for burning or dumping your trash. Please use appropriate
trash
dumpsters, located next to park entrance and rear parking area. Campfires are permitted in fire
rings only, bonfires are not permitted. Do not remove, alter or relocate any
fire rings.
AT
LEAST ONE PERSON MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE to rent a campsite and must stay on the
campsite for the entire length of the site rental. Age verification may be
required.
If you are reserving more than one campsite in your name, and/or on your credit
card,
you are responsible
for paying all required deposits and remaining balances due. You must be present before your party/group
will be allowed on the reserved sites. All vehicles must display a car pass at
all times while in the park. Daytime visiting hours are between 10:00 a.m. and
10:00 p.m. Only 2 vehicles will be allowed to an individual site.
Additional vehicles will be charged $5.00 per vehicle and park in designated
visitor parking areas only. NO parking on empty campsites or on driveways. No
vehicle repair or washing allowed in park. Smoking is not allowed in any
building. CAMPGROUND SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH. RECKLESS USE OF VEHICLES IS STRICTLY
PROHIBITED AND MAY RESULT IN EVICTION.
You are responsible to register all of your visitors in the campground office
immediately upon their arrival, and pay the required visitor fees. All visitors
must park in designated visitor parking areas only. We reserve the right to
limit the number of visitors on a site and their activities, while visiting.
Visitors found in the park who are not registered are trespassers and will be
treated as such.
Health Department regulations require, ALL WASTE WATER MUST BE COLLECTED
IN A CLOSED CONTAINER. (This includes dish water) NO grey/black water allowed to be discharged on the ground
at any time. Waste water containers can be emptied at the dump station. Washing of clothes or dishes in service
building, sinks, showers, or potable water stand locations is prohibited.
CHILDREN 6 YEARS OF AGE AND YOUNGER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL
TIMES. Children
must be instructed not to play in or around the bathrooms, campground store and
with potable water locations. All
children including teenagers must stay on their site after 11 p.m. unless
accompanied by an adult. All playground facilities close at 11 p.m.
QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 11 P.M. UNTIL 7 A.M. Please keep TV and radio
volumes turned down at all times. DISORDERLY CONDUCT, DRUNKENNESS, UNDER
AGE DRINKING, DRUG USE, OBSCENE LANGUAGE, OR RECKLESSNESS will not be tolerated
and will result in immediate eviction, without refund. Firearms, slingshots,
and fireworks, including sparklers, are prohibited at all times.
Mini bikes, dirt bikes, 3 or 4 wheel ATV’s are
not allowed to be ridden inside the park, but are allowed to be used for
transportation into or out of the campground only. Golf cart use only with
park management permission. ALL DRIVERS MUST BE 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND
HAVE A LEGAL STATE DRIVERS LICENSE. Bicycle riding allowed in
the park on driveways only. No bicycle riding in, on, or
around restrooms, service buildings, walk ways, through any campsites, occupied
or unoccupied. No bike riding after dusk.
Pet
Policy
PETS CAN NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME.
This includes leaving them in a camper or vehicle while you are out of the park.
Pets must
be kept on a 6 Ft. leash at all times, Quiet, and Under Control. Barking dogs
will not be tolerated. Pets must be kept in your camper or tent at night.
We reserve the right to limit the number of pets on
any individual site. Any pet that appears to be vicious, unsafe, or unhealthy
will be required to leave the park immediately. Pets are not allowed to be tied
or chained to trees, site markers, water or electrical posts. Pet business
must be cleaned up and disposed of immediately. Pets must not be allowed to dig
holes. Pets are not allowed in the bathrooms, camp store, laundry room, or in
the playground area at any time. No exotic pets allowed.
Reservation and/or Cancellations
There is a processing fee
equal to the amount of the first night plus a reservation fee for all
cancellations received 10 days or less prior to your arrival. For
HOLIDAY weekends there is a processing fee equal to Two (2) nights
plus a reservation fee for cancellations received Fourteen (14)
days or less prior to your arrival. No refunds for weather conditions. We are not
responsible for the weather. Fun continues rain or shine!! All
emergency cancellations requiring early departures may be given a credit at the
park's discretion. These rules are subject to change
without notice.
ATTENTION: THIS FORM
MUST BE RETURNED AT TIME OF ARRIVAL. YOUR SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED. BY SIGNING THIS
AGREEMENT YOU AND ALL PERSONS IN YOUR PARTY/GROUP AGREE TO, HAVE READ, AND FULLY
UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES BY YOURSELF OR ANY MEMBER OF
YOUR PARTY/GROUP CAN RESULT IN EVICTION, WITHOUT REFUND. YOU ACCEPT FULL
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYMENT OF ALL DAMAGES, MATERIALS, TRASH REMOVAL, AND LABOR
COSTS AFTER YOUR DEPARTURE, IF NECESSARY.
